Responsibilities:

📍Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and digital asset accounting 📍Own accounting functions from the ground up: Support and own various accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities, ensuring adherence to GAAP principles. 📍Manage day-to-day financial transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close processes with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. 📍Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to provide insights into the company's financial performance. 📍Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and emerging trends in the web3/blockchain space, and ensure compliance with regulatory changes. 📍Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 📍Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and scalability. 📍Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to support audit and tax compliance activities. 📍Support fundraising activities, investor relations, and strategic partnerships by providing accurate and timely financial information. 📍Conduct financial analysis and provide ad-hoc reporting and support as needed to inform decision-making and drive business growth.

Qualifications:

📍Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required. 📍8+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting or auditing. 📍Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience in applying them to complex accounting transactions. 📍Knowledge of NFTs, blockchain technology, and digital asset markets is desirable. 📍Proven track record of managing accounting operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring regulatory compliance. 📍Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. 📍Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 📍Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance; experience with regulatory reporting is preferred.
