Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
šDevelop, maintain, and enhance the companyās compliance program to ensure the firm's supervision and controls meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices šRegularly, and proactively, assess and report on the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures, and recommend improvements šManage a robust conflicts of interest framework to identify, communicate, and mitigate potential conflicts within the organization šMaintain a thorough understanding of securities laws and regulations that pertain to the companyās diverse range of digital asset-focused products and capabilities; synthesize key findings and recommendations to key internal stakeholders šHire and develop global compliance team with requisite domain expertise aligned with our organizational and geographic focus šServe as primary counterpart to regulatory agencies globally (e.g., FCA, SEC) šFoster and maintain a culture of compliance, including ownership and development of our internal compliance training program to educate employees on regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures šEvaluate, recommend and deploy new technologies to drive efficiencies and automation in the compliance program across the organization šOversee regulatory registrations and ongoing filing requirements šRepresent the company in due diligence meetings with existing and prospective investors
Skill Set and Qualifications:
š8+ years in Compliance role, including significant experience working at a hedge fund or traditional investment manager regulated in the UK by the FCA Bachelorās degree; Law degree a plus but not required šDemonstrated commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards šExpert in assessing and navigating complex regulatory requirements and translating into practical, business-enabling solutions šExperience with digital assets and blockchain preferred; passion for, and ability to successfully navigate, the rapidly evolving digital asset ecosystem is a must šStrong leadership and interpersonal skills šAbility to communicate with stakeholders efficiently and effectively at all levels across the organization šStrong problem-solving and organizational skills šSelf-starter, roll up your sleeveās mentality šAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment šDetail oriented, process-obsessed
