Job Summary

About the Position

šŸ“As the DevOps/SRE Team Lead, you will lead a team of 5 DevOps/SRE engineers responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and tools that support the development of Parityā€™s Polkadot SDK. Within the Product Engineering department, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. Your leadership and expertise will play a crucial role in advancing automation, enhancing efficiency, and optimising the performance of our entire technology stack. šŸ“Lead a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support šŸ“Define and implement best practices for infrastructure automation, continuous delivery and cloud operations šŸ“Provide strategic direction and contribute to the overall technology roadmap šŸ“Drive the adoption of DevOps culture, practices, and tools across the organisation šŸ“Collaborate with software development teams to streamline the build, deployment, and release processes šŸ“Establish and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system reliability and availability šŸ“Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and productivity šŸ“Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise projects, and communicate progress

About You

šŸ“Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others šŸ“Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes šŸ“Experience with multiple cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, OVH, Scaleway, etc. šŸ“Experience leveraging Infrastructure as Code (eg. Terraform, Ansible) and GitOps (eg. ArgoCD, FluxCD) tooling. šŸ“Expertise in Linux-based systems šŸ“Proven experience managing infrastructure teams, and overseeing large scalable, resilient and observable systems šŸ“Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
