Responsibilities

📍Serve as one of the primary legal points of contact for US monitorship-related matters. 📍Provide legal guidance and counsel in coordination with cross-functional teams to effectively respond to the ongoing monitoring by the government-appointed monitorship of the Anti-Money Laundering and sanctions compliance programs. 📍- Assist in handling ongoing litigations, arbitrations, and investigations. 📍Partner closely with cross-functional and regional teams, supporting on complex legal matters of diverse complexity, sensitivity, and significance. 📍Review and analyze monitorship reports, findings, and recommendations to ensure timely and effective responses. 📍Take charge of external communication with external counsels and negotiate with the opposition. 📍Support the development and implementation of legal strategies to reduce the risk of disputes while balancing against the organization’s overall business strategy. 📍Be responsible for drafting and reviewing litigation and arbitration documents, including discovery responses, dispositive motions, expert reports, and settlement agreements.

Requirements

📍Qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of experience at a reputable global law firm. 📍In-house experience is a plus. 📍A proven history in litigation and contentious regulatory matters. 📍Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. state. 📍A comprehensive understanding of both AML and sanctions compliance programs. 📍Robust analytical skills with an eye for detail. 📍Capable of working proactively in both independent and team environments. 📍Excellent written and oral communication skills.
