Job Summary
What you'll do
šEmbed with cross-functional teams to build, launch, market, and operate new fintech products šStructure and negotiate complex partnerships with financial institutions, payment services providers, technology platforms and other entities that provide or support financial services šSupport marketing teams, develop content policies, and review marketing collateral šProvide guidance on state, federal and international regulatory, privacy, intellectual property, and other legal issues, and their implications on product development and marketing strategies šDraft product terms of use šUnderstand and advise on licensing and compliance issues šHelp select and manage outside counsel
What you'll need
šJ.D. with a strong academic background and the highest level of integrity šMembership in at least one state bar (NY or CA preferred); if not licensed in the state where you will be based, ability to register as in-house counsel šAt least 3-5 years of legal experience šExperience as product or regulatory counsel for a fintech or technology company, and/or at a top law firm, preferred šDesire to learn quickly, work collaboratively, take ownership, and act as a legal generalist šAbility to understand complex business and regulatory issues and translate them into actionable guidance šAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously, and manage resource allocation to focus on the highest-priority needs
