What does a day in the life as a Business Development Representative look like?
šResponds promptly and professionally to all new business opportunities inquiries via phone, email, or chat šIdentifies and pursues new business opportunities within targeted markets and industries šGenerate high-quality leads through various channels, including cold calling, email, social media and other networking events and platforms šEvaluate leads and opportunities to determine their fit with the organizationās target client and ensure they meet minimum criteria šInitiate and maintain meaningful conversations with potential clients to understand their needs, challenges and objectives šConduct in-depth research to create a solid understanding of the organizationās products/services and effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients šFoster a collaborative environment with clients showcasing partnership, communication and engaging conversations on a frequent basis šAccurately track and manage sales activities, leads and opportunities in CRM software šAdheres to company policies and procedures šMeets or exceeds performance targets for related KPIās Continuously improves knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules šCollaborates with other departments as needed Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times šPerforms other duties as assigned
What are the required qualifications for a Business Development Representative?
šAt least 6 months of experience in a sales, business development representative, or equivalent, preferably in a call center/BPO industry šStrong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written šStrong negotiation skills šProficient in using computers and various software applications
