Job Summary

About the Position:

šŸ“Reporting to the Director of Legal, the Associate Legal Counsel provides proactive legal support to all areas of the business. Key responsibilities include: šŸ“Ensuring optimal corporate organisation and compliance in corporate governance. šŸ“Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal agreements across the business. šŸ“Developing and managing Parityā€™s IP strategy, liaising with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel. šŸ“Overseeing commercial litigation in collaboration with external counsel. šŸ“Monitoring the legal and regulatory environment related to blockchain. šŸ“Handling ad hoc projects as required by business needs. šŸ“Providing accurate, timely advice to internal stakeholders, including senior management, on a variety of legal topics (e.g., licensing, intellectual property, privacy, corporate law, partnerships, and commercial agreements). šŸ“Applying effective risk management techniques and proactively addressing potential legal issues. šŸ“Communicating, negotiating, and managing relationships with external parties (e.g., service providers, partners, external counsel, public authorities). šŸ“Drafting and reviewing agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to protect the companyā€™s legal rights. šŸ“Managing complex matters with multiple stakeholders. šŸ“Clarifying legal language or specifications for organisational understanding. šŸ“Keeping up-to-date with industry and business-specific legislation and legal developments. šŸ“Understanding blockchain, decentralised technologies, and Parityā€™s technology stack to advise on related legal matters.

About you:

šŸ“You are 3 years plus PQE commercial lawyer with a minimum of 1 years in house experience šŸ“You are commercially aware with in house legal experience. Knowledge of blockchain is going to be nice to have, however an interest in and desire to learn about blockchain, open source and decentralised systems will be the key drivers and requirements of the candidateā€™s mindset and background.
