Job Summary
In this role, you will:
šProvide guidance on corporate tax, partnership taxation, and international tax matters for a high-growth technology company. This requires proficiency with the new set of international and domestic tax laws (e.g. FDII, GILTI, BEAT, CAMT, the Global Minimum Tax, Pillars 1 and 2) and knowledge of income tax treaties and the application of withholding taxes. šLead tax review and execution of mergers and acquisitions including the structuring, diligence and integration or divestiture of the target. This requires familiarity with private equity structures, partnerships and employee compensation. šCollaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tax insights and strategies for business initiatives and transactions. šStay up-to-date with tax legislation and ensure the company's compliance with all tax laws and regulations. šImplement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and support the company's financial goals. šCollaborate on aspects of the company's tax function, including compliance, reporting, planning, and audits. šManage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
šA Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of progressive experience in tax roles, including a strong background in corporate tax, partnerships, and international tax. šA law degree or a CPA or equivalent, with a deep understanding of US tax laws and regulations. šPrevious experience in a law firm, Big Four firm, and/or high-growth pre-IPO companies. šKnowledge of tax rules related to software and SaaS is important (Treas. Regs under 1.861-18) šProven ability to manage complex tax issues and provide effective tax strategies. šStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders. šExperience with tax software and systems, particularly NetSuite, is a plus. šStrong analytical skills and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. šAn interest in tax policy, as a bonus.
