Job Summary
Responsibilities
šLead the release management process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating software releases across multiple projects and teams. šDevelop and implement release management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery. šCollaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product management teams to define and manage release timelines, dependencies, and deliverables. šOversee the preparation and execution of release activities, including code freeze, build, deployment, and post-release validation. šEnsure effective risk management by identifying potential release risks and developing mitigation strategies. šEstablish and maintain release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures. šMonitor and report on release progress, status, and metrics to stakeholders and executive management. šContinuously improve release processes by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. šManage and mentor a team of release engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. šStay current with industry trends and advancements in release management tools and technologies.
Qualifications
šBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. š7+ years of experience in release management, software development, or a related field. šProven experience managing complex software release cycles in an Agile/Scrum environment. šStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices. šProficiency with release management tools such as Jenkins, Git, JIRA, and Azure DevOps. šExcellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope. šExceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. šAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. šStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. šRelevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile) are a plus.
