Job Summary
Responsibilities:
📍Ensuring the company’s operations are in compliance with the PMLA, 2002, PML Rules and VDA AML guidelines. 📍Establishing AML and CFT systems and controls to adhere to applicable regulatory expectations. 📍Maintaining an effective transaction monitoring system to detect potentially suspicious transactions within the platform and submitting 📍Suspicious Action/ Transaction Reports with the Indian FIU where appropriate. 📍Regularly reviewing developments in applicable legislation (Indian AML/CFT Regulations, FATF, Etc.) and providing timely guidance. (domestic and international where the business is involved) 📍Overseeing the implementation of appropriate AML and CFT policies and procedures, including the operation of the risk-based approach.Liaising with the FIU-India from time to time, serving as the primary point of contact. 📍Ensuring that AML and CFT requirements are considered as part of the development of new products, or service changes. 📍Act as the primary liaison for all AML and compliance-related matters between the VDA service provider and regulatory authorities, auditors, and law enforcement agencies. 📍Maintain a close working relationship with senior management, providing advice on potential compliance risks and issues.
Requirements:
đź“Ť5+ years of experience in a compliance or risk management position.In-depth knowledge of PMLA regulations and how they apply to digital assets and cryptocurrency platforms. đź“ŤStrong understanding of financial crime prevention, including AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, and sanctions screening. đź“ŤAbility to manage regulatory inquiries and audits effectively and work with external regulators and auditors. đź“ŤStrong communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex regulatory requirements to both internal teams and external parties. đź“ŤAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage competing priorities. đź“ŤStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
