Job Summary
About the position:
šManage core People Operations areas such as onboarding, payroll, document and contract creation, employee data management, absence tracking, and reporting for our German entity. Review and refine our processes, and oversee the execution of tasks in these areas. šStay informed about new laws and trends in the area of HR in Germany to assure that Parityās processes and policies remain up-to-date. šHave ongoing coordination with external consultants, government offices and service providers on topics like employment law, social security, immigration, and payroll. šAct as a contact person for Germany-based team members. šUnderstand employee sentiment at our German entity, escalating issues and enabling the teams for success. šSupport our People Team in other entities (UK, Portugal and Switzerland) as needed. šInitiate and deliver on exciting new People Operations projects. šRecommend process improvements and identify areas where we can automate tasks. šSupport the management of our teamās Helpdesk. šFacilitate effective and positive resolution of employee issues, displaying a genuine interest and respect for people and their concerns. šManage employee departures, including preparation of employee separation notices and related documentation; provide periodic reports to the company's Leadership. šWork closely with the legal department to coordinate new policies and procedures, assist with work permits and visas for any foreign employees/candidates. šIn conjunction with the People team ensures effective, accurate, and timely payroll and time-and-attendance processing; and prepares dissemination of information related to payroll and benefits šEnsure compliance with country, city, and local employment laws and company guidelines šPerforms other duties as assigned
About you:
šBachelorās degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field and 2-4 yearsā experience in a human resources generalist function in Germany. šUnderstanding of International human resources principles and practices (compensation, employment/labour law, tax and compliance, etc). šExcellent written, verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills šProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines šGood judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions šCreative, flexible, and innovative team player šCapable of operating autonomously while dealing with a changing and restructuring environment. šHRIS experience and the ability to execute HR operations related tasks and responsibilities, as needed šProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Slack and Google Suite
