Job Summary
Responsibilities:
šDraft and negotiate agreements with strategic customers, blockchain protocols, partners, and software providers šDevelop and update agreements, website terms, and policies, and other scalable processes to help our teams to move faster šCounsel our product and engineering teams on new product launches šAdvise our People team on employee policies, and other employment law issues šAdvise our Alchemy Ventures team on investment documents (SAFEs, token warrants) šCoordinate with our marketing team to review and develop scalable guidelines on promotional materials and contests šBuild our patent and trademark portfolio, lead trademark enforcement efforts, and counsel engineering teams on open-source strategy šOversee corporate structuring, including domestic and international entity formation to meet business needs šSupport our corporate development efforts and oversee strategic acquisitions šStay current with global regulatory frameworks to develop expansion strategies šBe an outstanding collaborator with colleagues in sales, finance/accounting, product, engineering, operations, corporate development, equity, and other areas.
What We're Looking For:
š7+ years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm experience and in-house experience at a high-growth tech company šExtensive experience with complex transactions and drafting/negotiating commercial agreements šStrong track record of cross-functional partnership across teams (BD, Finance, Product, Engineering) to align on creative solutions šExperience with intellectual property issues, including patent, trademark, and open-source šPassion for crypto, blockchain technologies, DeFi, DAOs, and/or NFTs šJuris doctor from accredited law school šMember of a U.S. state bar in good standing, preferably in California or New York šNice-to-haves: familiarity with financial & securities regulations; Web3 experience; startup experience; experience founding a company or building side projects
