Job Summary
Role
šThe Platform Engineering team is responsible for building backend platforms on Whatnot. As the Engineering Manager of the Platform Engineering team, youāll focus on developing, maintaining, and setting the vision for a scalable platform that serves and enables Whatnot engineers to develop product features at lightning speed while ensuring customers have a stable and secure experience.
In addition, youāll:
šHire and develop engineers across all platform applications and backend systems. šcollaborate with product engineering and infrastructure engineering counterparts to set strategic direction of the team, advocating for technical platform solutions that help us grow Whatnot as a whole. plan and manage projects, coordinating and aligning your teamās goals against others across the business.

šIn addition to embodying our cultural principles, great candidates will also: šhands-on experience with public cloud environments (AWS, GCP) using Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC tools like Terraform. previous experience at a hyper-growth startup.
