Job Summary
In your day-to-day, you will:
📍Support and act as a trusted advisor to PayPal UK Ltd’s leadership team and other stakeholders on key legal and regulatory matters.
đź“ŤProvide clear, timely, and actionable legal advice to cross-functional stakeholders on products and features being developed for and launched in the UK and elsewhere.
đź“ŤSupport Compliance and Regulatory Relations with engagement with the UK and other key regulators.
đź“ŤWork with our product legal teams globally on consumer and merchant matters, including product development, credit agreements, promotions, and providing advice on relevant laws and regulations for the business.
đź“ŤUnderstanding and supporting our range of products in the consumer, merchant, credit, and crypto space.
📍Advise on and negotiate agreements with key partners, payment processors, and financial institutions to further PayPal’s business development.
What do you need to bring-
đź“ŤExperienced solicitor or barrister with the ability to practice in the UK.
đź“ŤFamiliarity with laws and regulations applicable to regulated financial services products in the UK.
đź“ŤExperience in building regulated financial services firms.
Any specialist experience in payments or credit products in the UK is desirable.
đź“ŤAbility to identify relevant business and legal issues proactively, evaluate the risks, and find creative solutions, particularly to novel situations
đź“ŤStrong communication skills and the ability to explain complex legal concepts and requirements to a range of audiences
