Job Summary
Responsibilities:
📍Lead financing and fundraising efforts and other strategic transactions, from coordinating due diligence and drafting term sheets to negotiating definitive agreements, managing closing processes and implementing post-closing controls. 📍Scale and support the Gemini groupâs corporate structure, including with respect to capital contributions, equity awards and required filings, audits and returns. 📍Manage projects effectively and collaboratively. 📍Build positive and influential relationships with Gemini Leadership and cross-functional partners, evangelizing the Legal teamâs expertise and services across the company. 📍Work with the Chief Legal Officer and cross functional teams to develop and implement a strategic approach to intellectual property management, focused on protecting technological innovations and maintaining competitive advantage. 📍Collaborate with the rest of the Legal team to evaluate and communicate legal risks to internal stakeholders and external parties.
Minimum Qualifications:
📍JD degree. 📍10+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm or in-house.
Preferred Qualifications:
📍Strong knowledge of and interest in disruptive technology or financial services; prior experienceworking in fintech, digital assets or high-growth tech companies a plus. 📍Proven ability to proactively, efficiently, and accurately assess legal business risks in a fast-pacedenvironment. 📍Track record of creative problem-solving, excellent written and oral communication skills, andcreation of strong and trusted cross-functional relationships.
