Job Summary
The opportunity
šUtilize a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods to gain deep insights into our clients' needs and behaviors šLead research initiatives to identify knowledge gaps, address frictions and challenge assumptions across product areas šCollaborate closely with Design, Product and Engineering teams to ensure intuitive and impactful product development šDrive the development of standards, processes and guidelines that enhance the effectiveness of our UX Research Team šMentor, influence and coach other researchers and designers šCollaborate cross-functionally using strong communication, written and facilitation skills to ensure the UX Research Teamās output empowers Krakenites and helps them to feel confident about their work šAct as the voice of our clients and make sure that weāre constantly solving real problems for them while delivering high quality, delightful experiences šSupport Krakenites across multiple teams as a research partner, identifying where research can be most helpful, most impactful and where research is not the appropriate response to a problem šSupport Krakenites in self-serving research to the point that they can conduct their own lightweight evaluative research while educating peers in research methodologies and helping to evangelize across the company
Skills you should HODL
šMinimum of 8 years of experience in lead UX Research roles, with a proven track record of delivering impactful research outcomes šExtensive experience in an array of research methodologies šExcellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively convey research findings to diverse audiences šProficiency in user-centered design principles and methodologies šAbility to conceptualize, scope and execute research studies with speed, dexterity, flexibility, open-mindedness and scale, along with the ability to adapt quickly to change šAbility to present and showcase findings and the value of UX Research to Design and Product teams, along with the wider org šStrong grasp of User-Centered Design principles
