Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to help build and maintain our infrastructure and platform engineering initiatives. This role spans across three key areas:
šInfrastructure Platform: You'll focus on our cloud operations on AWS, implementing solutions for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. This includes working with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code implementations, and development workflows to create a seamless engineering experience. šData Platform: You'll help architect and maintain our data engineering platform, ensuring robust data infrastructure that supports our analytical needs. This involves building scalable data pipelines, implementing appropriate storage solutions, and ensuring data accessibility while maintaining security and performance. šObservability Platform: You'll work to implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions across our infrastructure and applications. This includes setting up metrics, logs, and traces to ensure system health, quickly diagnose issues, and maintain high reliability of our services. šAs our first Platform Engineer, you'll work directly with our skilled software engineering team to bridge the gap between development and operations, automate processes, and implement best practices. You'll have significant autonomy in suggesting and implementing technical solutions that drive our infrastructure capabilities forward.
Requirements
šStrong experience with AWS is a must. Being comfortable with programming (Python preferred, but other languages acceptable) šExperience in AWS CDK would be a big plus šExperience in building data processing infrastructure šKnowledge of monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog experience is a plus) šDeep understanding of networking concepts and DNS management
