Job Summary
What You’ll Be Doing:
📍Supporting OKX's business expansion into the United Kingdom. This role will be the primary legal point of contact for the newly-formed OKX U.K. entity, and will be called upon to support the business in its licensing and legal efforts to expand into the U.K. market; 📍Supporting the business in virtually all legal coverage areas, including but not limited to product development, global regulatory matters, IP and trademark enforcement, corporate governance, licensing efforts, token listings for OKX U.K., contract negotiation, compliance legal support, institutional sales and partnerships, and marketing and advertising; 📍Analyzing and advising on the legal risk of new and existing digital assets and managing the legal component of the new asset review process; 📍Collaborating with product and business development teams to achieve company-wide projects and goals; and 📍Managing legal requests from all areas of the business and effectively advising on legal concepts and legal risk with an eye towards the strategic goals of business leaders.
What We Look For In You:
📍Law degree at a top-tier law school and qualified to practice law in the U.K.; 📍Resident of London; 📍12+ years of legal experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team, preferably in the cryptocurrency/digital assets and/or financial services industry; 📍Experience advising on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology legal issues and have a basic understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory landscape; 📍Experience working with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and obtaining U.K. financial services and/or crypto exchange licenses. 📍Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-stage and multi-cultural environment; 📍Ability to effectively advise and build trust with business teams; 📍Ability to navigate through a rapidly-changing legal landscape and deal with legal ambiguity; 📍Ability to work in a high-functioning legal team and feel comfortable in a collaborative working environment.
