Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

šŸ“Leadership and Management: šŸ“Lead and mentor a team of security engineers and site reliability engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. šŸ“Develop and execute strategies for improving security and reliability across all systems and services. šŸ“Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback. Security Engineering: šŸ“Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures across the organizationā€™s infrastructure and applications. šŸ“Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. šŸ“Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and threat modeling to identify and mitigate risks. šŸ“Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices. šŸ“Site Reliability Engineering: šŸ“Manage the reliability, availability, and performance of the companyā€™s services and infrastructure. šŸ“Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes. šŸ“Optimize system performance and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency. šŸ“Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and engineering practices to enhance system reliability. šŸ“Collaboration and Communication: šŸ“Collaborate with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure security and reliability requirements are integrated into all stages of the development lifecycle. šŸ“Communicate effectively with senior management and other departments, providing regular updates on security and reliability initiatives and performance. šŸ“Advocate for security and reliability best practices throughout the organization.

Qualifications

šŸ“Bachelorā€™s or Masterā€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. šŸ“7+ years of experience in security engineering and/or site reliability engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. šŸ“Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies, including encryption, authentication, access control, and šŸ“Proven experience with reliability engineering practices such as monitoring, alerting, incident response, and performance tuning. šŸ“Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, such as Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform. šŸ“Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker). šŸ“Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
