Job Summary
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
📍In your role as site lead for India, you’ll be instrumental in supporting a cross functional team of engineers, product managers and designers in India. 📍This will include ensuring the team’s productivity and morale remains high through excellent collaboration with teams in other geographies.In addition, you’ll help build and directly oversee a team of Infrastructure engineers focused on supporting critical components of our Infrastructure stack - Compute, Storage, Networking, and Developer tools.Perform all aspects of team management to attract, engage, retain, and nurture teams of exceptional engineers (e.g., recruitment, mentoring, training and development, performance evaluation) for the whole site.Partner with product teams and other cross functional partners to develop overall vision, strategy and roadmap for the systems and products owned by your team. Ensure the plans and results of the India based teams are well understood by partners across CoinbaseChampion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and processes for regular assessment and improvement.Establish a solid project framework and excellent development processes.Drive an excellent customer experience, with both internal stakeholders and external customersProvide technical and architectural oversight for the development, design, integration, testing, and maintenance of Infrastructure productsManage technical debt to ensure our development velocity stays high while minimizing production incidents of our operations.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
📍10+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including managing engineering managers. 📍10+ years of work experience architecting, developing, and launching Infrastructure/Platform software at large scale with consumer products 📍5+ years of experience in hiring/termination and performance management of teams of size 100+. 📍Strong technical skills and the ability to dive deep into areas to understand problems and drive to solutions 📍Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability. 📍Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of people. 📍A service-oriented mindset while driving excellence across the organization. 📍Strong organizational skills, both for yourself and the team
