Job Summary
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
šDevelop unique perspectives on key categories and companies in the crypto ecosystem, and curate related research and market intelligence, identifying critical shifts and evolving trends and communicate their implications to be at the forefront of new developments šEngage with the broader organization (product, engineering, marketing, etc.) to further qualify opportunities and refine our areas of strategic interest šDevelop perspectives on key competitors, relative strengths and weaknesses, and implications for our business šLead and/or support the execution of acquisitions by defining our needs, developing a market landscape with target companies, engaging prospects, developing business cases, engaging in due diligence and deal execution and supporting integration in partnership with finance, accounting, tax, legal, compliance, business, product, engineering, people and other departments at Ripple šEstablish strong relationships externally with the crypto and blockchain community of entrepreneurs and investors šSource new opportunities and manage the pipeline šDevelop key internal processes and artifacts for the companyās corporate development function including data-driven acquisition performance and backtesting for achievement against ingoing investment thesis šAd-hoc qualitative and quantitative analyses for strategic planning, investing and integration efforts šPartner with Business Development to forge alliances that promote Rippleās product and service offerings šTake an opportunity from inception to completion, owning the process from sourcing to due diligence to execution
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
š8+ years of experience in corporate development or related fields such as investment banking, management consulting ideally in the corporate finance space, and/or venture capital šExperience developing and implementing deal workflows and post-deal integrations šExperience managing multiple deals at once through all phases š Experience working with key stakeholders and leading teams to ensure strategy and tactics are alignedStrong experience developing financial modeling such as market data models, three-statement analysis and valuation šIntellectual rigor šStrong communication skills; verbal, written, and presentational šComfort operating in white space where there is no playbook and proven ability to come up with creative solutions and deal structures šComfortable interacting regularly with executives and/or major external stakeholders and leading negotiations šStrong understanding of blockchain technology and traditional financial services šHigh attention to detail šProactive, energetic and collaborative
