Job Summary
What you'll be doing:
đź“ŤSource, conduct due diligence, and execute high-value strategic partnerships with start-ups and projects that are considering developing on Aptos with a specific focus on DeFi đź“ŤWork with cross functional team internally including engineering, product, legal, marketing to operationalize relevant projects and partners đź“ŤWork closely with the Aptos engineering team to ensure any technical issues from the ecosystem are resolved in a timely manner đź“ŤConduct comprehensive research on the DeFi sector, including cryptocurrencies, decentralized applications (dApps), real-world assets (RWAs), and emerging DeFi technologies đź“ŤStay updated with the latest developments in the DeFi space, monitoring industry trends, technological advances, regulatory changes, competitor activities, and similar trends taking place in traditional finance đź“ŤGather data across sources (blockchain explorers, technical documentation, research papers, research reports, whitepapers, social media, news articles, on-chain analytics, trading metrics, and more) to understand the nuances of success and failure/product-market-fit in blockchain technology/markets đź“ŤAct as a subject matter expert on DeFi and blockchain technologies, supporting internal teams and clients by sharing knowledge and answering research-related queries đź“ŤDefine and lead new initiatives within the ecosystem team to expand the reach of Aptos DeFi
What we’re looking for:
đź“Ť3-5 years of experience working in partnerships, business development, or similar roles at a high-growth technology company with at least two years of deep DeFi experience đź“ŤExperience in and strong market knowledge of crypto and DeFi required đź“ŤExperience working with commercial agreements, including creating and negotiating agreements outside of standard sales contracts đź“ŤExperience partnering with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers đź“ŤExperience developing and closing partner opportunities globally đź“ŤA deep and relevant network including industry leaders and executives đź“ŤExcellent written and oral communication skills, as this role requires frequent communication to members of our team and commercial partners đź“ŤStrong DegenScore
