Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES
šAlumni Engagement šDevelop, implement, and manage a comprehensive alumni engagement plan. šEstablish and maintain regular communication channels with alumni, including newsletters, emails, and social media platforms. šOrganize events, webinars, and networking opportunities to facilitate connections between alumni, students, faculty, and staff. šCollect and update alumni information and utilize the alumni database to track engagement and measure impact. šVolunteer Management šRecruit, train, and manage alumni volunteers to support university initiatives. šCoordinate alumni involvement in mentoring programs, guest lecture series, and career development opportunities. šCollaborate with other departments to identify and leverage alumni resources and talents to benefit current students. šFundraising and Development šAssist in developing fundraising strategies to secure financial support from alumni. šAlumni Relations Research and Reporting šConduct research and analysis to assess the impact of alumni engagement activities and identify improvement opportunities. šPrepare regular reports on alumni engagement metrics, including participation rates, financial contributions, and employment outcomes. šCollaboration and Coordination šCollaborate closely with other university departments to align alumni engagement efforts with broader organizational goals. šCoordinate with regional and international alumni ambassadors to ensure consistent engagement across different regions. šLiaise with students, faculty, and staff to identify opportunities for alumni involvement in university events and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
šBachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Communications, Public Relations). šAt least 2-4 years of experience in alumni relations, fundraising, or related fields. šProven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholder groups. šExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. šStrong project management and organizational skills. šProficient in using various communication tools and technologies. šFamiliarity with alumni databases and salesforce is preferred. šKnowledge of the higher education sector and šAfrican alumni networks is advantageous. šFluency in English (spoken & written) is required; proficiency in French is a plus
